Connor Davis Named USHL Forward of the Week

Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Connor Davis has been named the USHL Forward of the Week after an outstanding three-game stretch to help extend the RoughRiders' point streak.

Davis recorded eight points on four goals and four assists, all coming in RoughRiders wins, two against Des Moines and one against Waterloo. On Wednesday against the Buccaneers, Davis recorded three points with a goal and two assists, helping lead the Riders to a 6–1 win. On Friday, he scored two goals and added an assist in another RoughRiders victory over Des Moines, 4–1.

On Saturday in Waterloo, Davis recorded a goal, an assist, and a fight to complete a Gordie Howe hat trick, finishing the weekend with a +4 rating.

Davis currently sits fourth on the team in scoring with 53 points. Justin Graf leads the team with 55 points, while Jason Musa and Nick Romeo each have 54. The team has been well balanced all season, with contributions coming from throughout the lineup. Davis is currently a +20 on the season.

The RoughRiders' strong team play has pushed their point streak to 17 games. Davis and the RoughRiders will play their final two regular season home games this weekend at The Stable as they take on first-place Youngstown in a showdown you won't want to miss. The RoughRiders have clinched home playoffs, with seeding still to be determined.
