RoughRiders Take All Three in Plymouth!

March 1, 2026 — The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders enjoyed a milestone filled weekend in Plymouth while taking all three games in their series against the NTDP.

Game 1 of the series on February 27 featured a pair of milestones, as Head Coach Mark Carlson earned his 800th career USHL victory, all with the RoughRiders, while forward Nick Romeo appeared in his 150th career USHL game.

Cedar Rapids claimed all three games in the weekend series against the NTDP, earning all six possible points and outscoring Team USA 13–3.

The Riders outshot NTDP 118–55 over the three games, including an impressive 53 shots on goal Sunday. Special teams were sharp, going 3 for 4 on the power play and a perfect 6 for 6 on the penalty kill.

Joseph Skidmore recorded his first career USHL shutout Sunday, stopping all 27 shots in a 6–0 victory to earn his seventh win of the season. Ryan Cameron was strong Friday and Saturday, stopping 25 of 28 shots combined and picking up his 18th and 19th wins.

Offensively, nine different Riders scored in the 13 goals over the weekend. Jason Musa led the way with three goals, while Justin Graf and Braiden Scuderi each added two. Hawke Huff and Grant Young recorded three assists apiece. In Sunday's win alone, 14 Riders registered at least one point in a complete team effort.

With the series victory, Cedar Rapids improves to 26-16-8 (60 points). The Riders are now 14-9-4 on the road and 6-0-1 in their last seven games.

The Riders return to The Stable this weekend! Friday, March 6, they face Sioux City with a foam hockey keychain giveaway to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of the Cedar Rapids Booster Club. Saturday is Farmers Appreciation Night in a Dupaco Cowbell Cup matchup against Waterloo, featuring specialty uniforms and a postgame jersey auction you will not want to miss.
