Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Announce Promotion of Jefferson Stack

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders are excited to announce the promotion of Jefferson Stack to Assistant Coach, Director of Hockey Operations and Sales Associate!

Stack spent the 2025–26 season as the RoughRiders' Video Coach while also serving as Director of Business Operations for the Youth RoughRiders Hockey Club.

A Cedar Rapids native, Stack began his hockey career locally before continuing on to play for Russell Stover AAA, the Kansas City Mavs Elite, and the Sioux Falls Power. He then attended the University of Iowa, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Statistics.

Following his playing career, Stack continued to build his coaching and hockey operations experience in the Cedar Rapids community. He spent two seasons as Head Coach of the Cedar Rapids High School hockey team while also serving in a leadership role with the Youth RoughRiders Hockey Club organization.

"Jefferson was a valuable member of our staff last season as our video coach," said RoughRiders Head Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson. "He will continue in that role this season while also contributing on the coaching, hockey operations, and business sides of the RoughRiders organization. Jefferson has been part of the RoughRiders for many years, and we are excited about his expanded role."

The RoughRiders look forward to Jefferson's continued contributions in his expanded role.
